A home inspector is the guy who walks around with a hard hat and clipboard and is invaluable when either buying or selling your home.

If you are selling your home you’ll want a home inspection report for prospective buyers and for the greater ability to negotiate.

With older houses, ensure your home inspector also checks for lead paint and asbestos.
