FAQS

I've never seen anything like this before - how does it work?
We market 23HourBids.com in the zip codes you want to accept work from. Homeowners in those areas will then post their project complete with photos and videos of before and what they expect to be after pictures, they include as much detail as possible in order for you to prepare a detailed bid.
Our patented intellectual property then matches you with the homeowner. It is up to you to make your bid look as good as possible to win the work but it is ultimately up to the client to choose a contractor to complete his/her home improvement project.
The homeowner will have the ability to compare your bid with a maximum of just 4 of your competitors before choosing a winning bid.
I've been buying names and contact details from other sites such as angie's List and homeadvisor - what makes you different?
We don’t sell names and addresses – we provide you with unlimited actual home improvement projects to bid on.
Why is it called 23HourBids.com?
Contractors have 23 hours to bid on projects –
Why 23 hours?
Because homeowners don’t want to wait all day for a bid.
What happens after 23 hours?
You lose your ability to bid on that project. Swift bids dictate the success of our business model as well as the growth of your company.
How much does it cost homeowners?
Zero. Zip. Nada. Nothing. 23HourBids.com will always be free for homeowners.

How do I keep track of all the projects I bid on?
Through your very own password-protected dashboard you will have a full suite of tools and analytics to see how many jobs you’ve bidded on and the value of those jobs to your business. You can also track how much you didn’t win and what you can do to improve your chances of winning more business.
Can I contact the homeowner after I've submitted my price?
Homeowners have the ability to reveal or conceal their phone number and/or email address when they post their home improvement project on 23HourBids.com
What about the their address?
Homeowners will have to include their address so certain contractors can view the house on google maps, for instance roofers or solar companies or landscapers may want a better view of the house to ensure a detailed bid.
Can I stop by the house after I've bidded to see where I stand?
Contacting a homeowner in this fashion if they have concealed their contact details is very much frowned upon and may lead to expulsion for repeat offenders.
So how do I know if I win the bid or not?
You will have access to privately message the homeowner after bidding. Constant badgering may result in the homeowner blocking you. We prefer our contractors operate in a no-pressure sales process. We advise our homeowners not to just grab the lowest bid but to actually message all contractors regarding quality of workmanship, quality of materials, timeframes and of course price.
Ok,so to back up. How do I know when a project comes in for bid?
Your designated bidder will be notified by email.
What if my designated bidder is ill or away on vacation?
When you sign up you will be asked for 3 designated bidders. If number 1 is ill or away, just go to your profile and switch to designated bidder 2 or 3 with just one click. This way you’ll never miss a project.
That is great - am I under contract?
All contractors are contracted for 12 months.
What happens in 12 months?
23HourBids.com is limited to 5 contractors per category. By automatically rolling over your 12 months contract for a further 12 months we will protect your place and you will keep receiving projects to bid on without having to do a thing. Should you wish to cancel your agreement just give us 30 days notice before your agreement expires.
